DWGs are not supported in the 2D environment, but can be converted into DXFs that are supported in both the 2D and 3D environments. See guidance here.
You can also convert DWGs into KMLs or GeoJSONs, both of which are 2D-only files. However, we generally recommend the more reliable DWG to DXF conversion.

Convert DWG to GeoJSON
Using QGIS:
Open QGIS.
Import your DWG file by clicking on 'Layer' > 'Add Layer' > 'Add Vector Layer'.
Choose your DWG file and click 'Open'.
Right-click on the layer and select 'Export' > 'Save Features As'.
Choose GeoJSON from the format dropdown list.
Select the location to save the GeoJSON file and click 'OK'.
It's important to note that while converting between different formats, some data or formatting may not be preserved perfectly. Always double-check the converted files for any discrepancies or errors.
