The Sensat platform allows you to upload as many files into your project as you would like. Some of these files will be visualised on the map as a layer (e.g. CAD files), while other file types (e.g. PDFs and images) will be stored for future reference in the Layer manager in the right-hand tool bar:

this shows the panel on the right side of the screen. The third icon is the 'uploads & markups' icon.

We accept the following file types:

  1. .laz, .las, .dxf, .dwg, .ifc, .dgn, .glb, .rvt, .nwd, .fbx, .glb will be stored in the Layer manager and visualised as a layers in your 3D environment.

  2. .tiff, .kml, .geojson, .dxf will be stored in the Layer manager and visualised as layers in your 2D environment.

  3. .xer can be uploaded and will be stored in the Layer manager and visualised as a Gantt Chart in the Schedule panel.

  4. .png, .pdf, .jpg, .obj, .fbx, .mtl, .tfw, .shp, .rcp/rcs, .e57, .pts, .zip files will be stored in the Layer manager.

๐Ÿ’ก Displaying different types of data together from lots of different sources can be tricky and requires good QA.

Therefore, to ensure that your CAD files upload and process successfully, make sure that you check out this guidance on uploading CAD files to Sensat: supported formats and must dos before uploading.
