Which file formats can I upload to Sensat?

There is no limit to the number of files that you can upload to your Sensat project. Some files will be visualised on the map as a layer (e.g. CAD files), while other file types (e.g. PDFs and images) will be stored for future reference in Content.


Sensat accepts the following file formats:


Visualised formats

These files are stored in Content and can be visualised in Workspaces

Visualised in the 3D environment:

  • .laz & .las (point clouds)

  • .dwg & .dxf (AutoCAD)

  • .ifc (BIM)

  • .dgn (Bentley MicroStation)

  • .glb (3D mesh)

  • .rvt (Revit)

  • .nwd (Navisworks)

Visualised in the 2D environment:

  • .tiff / .tif (high-res imagery)

  • .kml & .geojson (GIS Data)

  • .dxf (AutoCAD)


Schedule

  • .xer (Primavera P6 Schedules)


Documentation & images

These files are stored in Content and can be previewed in the Platform.

Preview-only

  • .pdf (documents)

  • .png*, .jpg*, .jpeg*, .gif, .avif, .webp (standard images)

  • .svg & .ico (icons)

*If these file types have location metadata they will be uploaded as photo markups and can be visualised in a workspace.


Storage-only Formats

These files are not supported for visualisation, but can be stored in Content.

  • .obj & .mtl (3D Models)

  • .shp (shapefiles)

  • .rcp / .rcs (ReCap projects)

  • .e57 & .pts (scanning data)

  • .tfw (World files)

  • .zip (compressed folders)
