What is a Viewpoint?

A Viewpoint is like an "active screenshot" within Sensat. When you create a Viewpoint it saves your current camera angle, layer and markup visibility settings and Timeline settings, i.e. it saves exactly what is showing in your scene at the time of capture.

When you open an existing Viewpoint you can interact with the scene, but no tools will be available unless you choose to adopt the Viewpoint. But please note, adopting a Viewpoint will update your visibility settings and you won’t be able to return to your previous view.

Viewpoints are useful for capturing a moment in time, creating a curated view to share with your team or even stakeholder engagement (multiple Viewpoints can be combined to create Presentation, see How to create a Presentation).
