A Viewpoint is like an "active screenshot" within Sensat, and saves exactly what is showing in your scene at the time of capture (your current camera angle, layer and markup visibility settings and Timeline settings).
How to create a Viewpoint
Click the Viewpoint icon in the left-hand toolbar. A Viewpoint stores your camera angle, visibility of layers and markups, and timeline settings.
The new Viewpoint will be shown in the Viewpoints panel in the right-hand toolbar, alongside all other viewpoints.
N.B. A Viewpoint is a snapshot in time (either a week or month depending on your Timeline settings), therefore if the dates associated with your surveys, layers or markups are updated to fall outside of the recorded time period, they may no longer show in the viewpoint.
