To get the best experience and ensure all features in our app work seamlessly, you need to grant the app access to your device’s Location (GPS) and Camera.
Because our app runs as a Progressive Web App (PWA), it relies on your device’s native browser settings (Safari for iOS, Chrome for Android) to function.
If you are seeing a "Location Access Denied" or "Camera Error" message, follow the quick steps below for your device.

For iPhone & iPad (iOS)
iOS has multiple layers of security. You must ensure that both your system settings and your browser settings are configured correctly.
Step 1: Turn on system location services
Open your iPhone Settings app.
Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security, then select Location Services.
Toggle Location Services to ON.
Scroll down this same list, tap on Safari (or Chrome if you use it as your primary browser), and select While Using the App or Ask Next Time / When I Share.
⚠️ Important: Ensure the toggle for Precise Location is turned ON. Without this, the app cannot pinpoint your necessary coordinates.
Step 2: Enable location for your device camera (for photo uploads)
If you are uploading existing photos from your camera roll, the photo must have been taken with location tags active to be added as a geolocated photo markup in Sensat.
Stay in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Scroll through the app list and tap on Camera.
Change the setting to While Using the App or Ask Next Time.
Step 3: Check individual app permissions
Go back to the main Settings page.
Scroll all the way down and click "Apps"
Tap Safari (or Chrome).
Scroll down and click on Camera.
Ensure Camera is set to Ask or Allow.
Scroll down and click on Location.
Ensure Location is set to Ask or Allow.
Step 4: Refresh the app
Close the app completely and reopen it.
If prompted by a pop-up asking for location or camera permissions, select Allow.
For Android devices
Android permissions are typically managed directly through the browser site settings.
Step 1: Enable system location
Swipe down from the top of your screen and ensure the Location / GPS toggle is turned on.
Step 2: Enable location tags in your native camera (for photo uploads)
To ensure photos you take carry location data when uploaded to our app:
Open your device's native Camera app.
Tap the Settings (Gear icon) usually located in the corner of the camera screen.
Look for Location Tags, Save Location, or Geo-tag photos and switch it ON.
Step 3: Allow Chrome browser permissions
Open the Chrome browser app.
Tap the Three Dots (Menu) in the top right corner and select Settings.
Scroll down and tap Site Settings.
Tap Location:
Ensure it is turned on ("Sites can ask to use your location").
Look under the "Blocked" list. If our app URL is there, tap it and change it to Allow.
Make sure Precise Location is selected if your Android version prompts you.
Go back to Site Settings and tap Camera:
Ensure it is set to "Sites can ask to use your camera".
Step 4: Refresh the app
Completely close our app from your running background apps.
Reopen the app. When the browser prompts you for permission, select Allow while using app (or Allow this time).
