How Folder Permissions Work in Sensat
Folder permissions control who can access and perform actions on files within the folder. Permissions are set at the folder level and cannot be adjusted for individual files.
Key Points:
Inherited permissions: A subfolder cannot have more restrictive permissions than its parent folder.
Permission levels: Only the folder owner or users with "Full access" can manage permissions for that folder.
Managing Folder Access
Follow these steps to manage access:
Navigate to the Content page.
Open the three-dot menu of the folder you want to manage and select "Manage access" or click on the "user icons" (both options are shown below).
Note: You can only update access for folders for which you have "Full access."
Search for and add new members or groups to the folder.
Update their access level as needed.

Markup Permissions
Access to unpublished markups is managed at the Workspace level, while access to published markups is controlled at the folder level in Content.
Unpublished Markups
Unpublished markups exist only within a Workspace.
Everyone in the Workspace can view the Markup; and Workspace Members and Workspace Managers can edit, delete and publish the Markup.
Learn more about Workspace permissions here.
Published Markups
Once markups are published to Content, their access is controlled by the folder’s permissions. Published markups inherit the permissions of the folder they are added to, meaning that Workspace members may lose or gain access depending on their folder permissions.
FAQs
Who can see my markups?
Unpublished Markups: If your markups are unpublished, everyone in the Workspace will be able to see them. Workspace members and managers can also update them, but guests cannot.
Published Markups: Once markups are published, only users with access to the parent folder in Content will be able to view and interact with them.
To check who has access to a markup, click on its details in the Scene Manager or on the Content page.
How do I update content permissions?
You can update permissions by:
Clicking on the "Access Thumbnails" or the three-dot menu for a folder in the Content page.
Select "Manage Access" to adjust who can access the folder and their access level.
Note: A subfolder cannot have more restrictive permissions than its parent folder.
Why can't I see the same thing as my team member?
You may not have the same level of access as your team member within the Workspace. If you don't have access to a specific item, it will not appear in your Scene Manager.
