In this video, you are walked through the markup tools available in Sensat, which allow you to draw, measure, and interact with your workspace effectively.

You will see how to create and edit markups, including renaming, colouring, and grouping them for better organisation.

Creating and editing markups

  1. You can find all of the markup tools at the bottom bar in a workspace.

  2. Select the markup tool you'd like to use. Use the left-click to create the first point, and continue to left-click until you're finished. To finish your creation, double-click.

πŸ“ Note: Not all markups are available in the 2D environment; you can see which ones because they are greyed out.

  3. Once you have created the markup, it will open automatically in the scene manager panel. Here you can rename it.

  4. Use the three-dot menu on the markup to see the other actions you can apply to a markup, such as changing its colour or icon.

  5. You can also update the markup's attributes in this detail view, such as giving it timeline dates, adding attachments, a description, or tagging someone in a comment.

  6. To edit the geometry of a markup, click on it within the scene. The edit cones will appear along with the reposition tool. Use these to alter the markup shape to whatever is required.

Publishing markups to Content

  1. At the point of creation, the new markup is automatically shared with those in the workspace. To make it available to the wider project, you can use the "publish" option in the three-dot menu and choose a Content folder location to add it to. By doing this, the markup will be available to anyone with access to that folder.

πŸ’‘ We have more on publishing Content in our next video

Grouping markups in the Scene Manager

  1. To group your markups together in your scene, return to the Scene Manager list view and select the markups you would like to group, click the three-dot menu on the footer, and click "Create group". Make sure to give your new group a name. This will make your related markups easier to toggle on and off in the scene.

Duplicating markups

  1. If you want to quickly make a copy of a markup, use the "Duplicate" option in the three-dot menu for that markup. This will create an exact duplicate in the scene.
